Course Description:

IMovie is an Apple Editing Software, which is a great Editing course for Publishers who want to edit in a more simple environment.  It is also great for PSAs.  It is highly recommended for those who want to transition more easily into Adobe Premiere, or Final Cut Pro.  It teaches and familiarizes you with Transition techniques as well as Text Special Effects, basic audio, color adjustments, adding music, and voice overs.

After this course, as a Video Producer, you will be ready to edit the basics for a television program on People TV should you apply to have a time slot on the channel.

Course Description:

Adobe Premiere is a Timeline based Editing Software for the PC but also available for the Mac.  Most compare Adobe Premiere as being on the same Editing Level as Final Cut Pro and Avid Editing products.  This class will cover the basic editing techniques in order to allow you to get exposure to a timeline style, and more transition affects.  When producing or editing video content, it is always better to learn an editing software that allows you to have the most effects and best fits your needs for a PC and/or a Mac.

How to get a Pre-Produced show on at People TV:

If you have already produced a program and do not require the use of any People TV facilities, you are not required to take production classes to have your program cablecast on People TV. For the best opportunity to receive a time slot go to the People TV calendar and check for the next channel time application submission date. You may submit during this period or later in the season. Be sure to mark independent producer on the application.

After you are awarded a time slot, you can turn the completed shows into playback for cablecast and pay a the membership rate for non-residents. To find out the rate (Click Here).

How we award programs:

We award shows on a first come, first served basis, with city of Atlanta residents given first preference. After all requests by city residents are met, second in line are metro Atlanta applications and then residents from the state of Georgia. Out of state applicants are considered last. If all slots are filled then you are placed on a waiting list and will be contacted when there is an opening.

Please note if you apply for a special (a single program) you will not be placed on the waiting list.
